AQUA - BUMBLE BEES

Overview: Freaky Friday was initially announced to be the third single from Aquarius, and remixes of the song were commissioned. But, after the mixed results of Cartoon Heroes and Around The World, Universal Music decided that it would be better to try luck with a more old-Aqua sounding song like Bumble Bees, which ressembled to songs from the first album. The band satirized this decission in their videoclip of the song, claiming to be more than just a Barbie band. Released in August, Bumble Bees performed poorly on the charts, even in Australia and Germany, where Aqua had been very successful in the past. As a result, it was the last Aqua single released on most countries (and the last promo item in the case of UK & USA). In Denmark, the single peaked at #6. The later release happened in Japan, in mid September, after cancelling in the very last moment the yet scheduled release in that country of Freaky Friday.
